SCHOLARSHIP IN TRINT
Access to educational strategies in Tromsø International School and the IB programmes are important aspects of the school and our society. Therefore, parents who find themselves financially constrained can apply for a scholarship for their child each academic year. These scholarships will be limited in number and assessed case by case.
Timeline
Scholarships can be annually applied from April to August, although the programme is open throughout the year within budgetary constraints.
Application Process
Scholarships may be granted for between 50 and 100 % of school fees. Applications are reviewed by the scholarship committee which is comprised by the principal, the vice principal and the business manager. The final decision is made by the principal, based on the following criteria:
- Financial situation of the student’s parents/family
- Value to the student of attending TRINT
- Continuity, giving priority to those having received scholarships the previous year
When applying, parents should write a formal letter stating the following information:
- Child’s name
- Year of scholarship
- Explanation of the need for a scholarship
Applications should be addressed and sent directly to the principal at: tonje.hofsoy@trint.org.
All applicants will be informed about the outcome of their application in writing and about their right to appeal according to the Public Administration Act (“enkeltvedtak”/individual decision).
